High School Placement

graduation

Link prepares students academically and personally for high schools that will build upon the educational foundation that Link has afforded them. The goal is to place graduating 8th grade students in schools in which they will succeed. Each year, Link graduates are accepted into competitive independent day and boarding schools, Catholic schools, and magnet schools as well as public charter and technical schools.

Along with the rigorous curriculum, an engaging arts program, enriching exposures beyond the classroom, and a strong personal development program grounded in Core Values, Link provides a robust High School Placement program to ensure that students, and their parents, have the tools and skills required to be successful in the application to the competitive high schools. The program includes:

(1) a half year high school preparation class for 7th and 8th grade students,

(2) individual meetings with students and their families to find the high school(s) that best match the students’ abilities and interests, and

(3) ongoing guidance and support throughout the application and financial aid/scholarship process.
