Title I is a federal program under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) that was passed by Congress and signed into law in December 2015. Title I provides funding, resources, and guidance to schools to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and to reach at least the proficiency level on State academic achievement standards and academic assessments.
Schools/school districts receive Title I funds based on calculations performed by the New Jersey Department of Education. The calculations are based on census and poverty data in each district.
Since Link Community Charter School receives funding from Title I, the school is required to do the develop a written parental involvement policy that establishes the district’s expectations for parental involvement. Click on the links below to learn about Link’s parent engagement program.
