Instructional Supervisor, K-4
Gina will be leading the charge at Link Community Charter School this year as the new Instructional Supervisor, K-8. She comes to Link during the first year the school's expansion, leading and training our Kindergarten team of teachers and looking forward to growing our Link community of learners to a K-8 School. Gina will work with teachers to provide a robust, rigorous, and culturally relevant educational experience while cultivating a lifelong love of learning for every scholar.
Gina holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Science and Environmental Education. She also has completed 30 additional credits in Literacy and Reading Instruction. Gina holds a K-12 Supervisor’s Certificate and is a certified PreK-8th grade teacher in New York and New Jersey.
Gina started her career in Brooklyn, New York teaching 2nd and 3rd grade, where her passion for teacher leadership and coaching began to take hold. Gina worked as a literacy coach for Children’s Literacy Initiative and Newark Public Schools for 20 years, coaching best practices and facilitating Professional Development in the tri-state area as well as multiple states across the country. Some topics that Gina has presented on are: Literacy Environment, Guided Reading, Literacy Stations, Intentional Read Aloud, Classroom Culture, and Culturally Responsive Literature.
Gina is a board member of NJ Literacy Association (NJLA), serving on the Professional Development committee and writing for the NJLA newsletter.
