Here are the options for aftercare for the start of the 24-25 SY. If plans change, parents will be informed.
1. Boys and Girls Club of Newark, One Avon Avenue, 3 to 7 pm
NO transportation is available, but if families wish to transport their children there, the BGCN will happily serve our families. Annual membership and registration are required and must be completed before a child can start. Program for Parents is accepted. Once fully registered, students can begin to attend as the program is fully set up for the 2024-25 school year. Please communicate directly with BGCN at 973-242-1200 and let Link's main office and classroom teachers know who is picking up your child.
2. Link Community Charter School, 23 Pennsylvania Avenue, 3:15 to 6 pm (5:30 pm on Fridays)
Families are required to pay $125/month for each child attending the program. The first month's fees are due immediately in cash or check and then each month thereafter must be paid by the 25th of the previous month. The program ends at 6 pm each day, with the exception of Fridays with a 5:30 pm pick up time. Families will be charged for late pickups. We are in the process of setting up online payment options but for the first payment, please send it to the main office or stop in to use a credit/debit card. Multiple late pickups may lead to dismissal from the program.
We will continue to explore transportation and if we can transition everyone to Boys and Girls Club of Newark, we will do so later in the school year. Anyone who paid fees to BGCN this year is eligible for a refund. Please contact BGCN to make arrangements at 973-242-1200.
If you wish to participate in Link's After Care Program, please register your child HERE and complete the Consent and Authorization Form HERE no later than 5 pm, Sunday, September 15th.Forms completed after that time/date would require an additional day to process.
