Link’s faculty and staff have been eager at work preparing for the upcoming school year. The enthusiasm and the excitement have been building all summer!
The administrative staff continued their work this summer of transitioning to a public charter school, registering students and preparing for the new fifth grade and the teaching staff reported to school at the end of August to start their new year. Many attended a presentation on classroom management by Harry Wong, a noted educator and author, at Kean University on August 21st. New staff orientation was held a day later, before a week plus for all staff meetings for planning, professional development and readying classroom for students.
Additionally, staff enjoyed a one day retreat at San Alfonso Retreat Home in West Long Branch, NJ on August 25th. Facilitated by Project U.S.E., the retreat’s purpose was to provide an opportunity for team building, bonding and preparing for the new school year.
