Yris Acevedo, M.S.W.

Yris Acevedo earned her undergraduate and graduate degree in Social Work at Rutgers University-Newark. She has over 20 years of experience working with youth ages 10-21 and their families within a school and community setting. Before joining the Link community, she was a School Based Mental Health Counselor for 11 years at Teaneck High School. In addition to providing individual, group and family counseling, she also led the high school’s non-traditional Girl Scout Troop, which focused on community service, leadership, sisterhood, and girl empowerment.
