LaShonda Brown

LaShonda Brown is an educator and creative professional who is passionate about helping children learn, grow, and discover their unique strengths. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Interpreting for the Deaf from Montclair State University and an Associate degree in American Sign Language/Interpreting from Union County College. Her background in education includes experience as a classroom educator, substitute teacher, early childhood educator, and job coach working with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.

Outside of the classroom, Ms. Brown is the founder of Creative Hands in Motion, a youth enrichment initiative that combines education, creativity, music, movement, social-emotional learning, and self-expression. She is also an artist, songwriter, and creative entrepreneur who believes the arts can be a powerful tool for building confidence and connection.

Ms. Brown is excited to continue growing as an educator while creating a classroom environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and inspired to be their best selves.
