Lara Estanqueiro Garrana

Lara Estanqueiro Garrana is an English as a Second Language teacher with two years of experience as a bilingual educator in public elementary schools. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Psychology from Kean University and is certified in English as a Second Language and Bilingual Education. She has worked with students from kindergarten through fifth grade as both a homeroom and language educator. As a multilingual educator who speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and English, she brings a deep appreciation for language and culture into her classroom. Her experiences navigating multiple languages and cultures inspire her to create an inclusive environment where students feel understood, supported, and empowered to grow. She finds the most rewarding part of teaching to be watching her students develop their knowledge and confidence. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys learning French and baking for her community.
