Erin Mulligan-Pierre, Link’s dean of curriculum and student outcomes, served on a panel on grant writing and management at the Rutgers University School of Public Affairs and Administration recently. Speaking before graduate students, Mrs. Mulligan-Pierre drew upon her over eight years in public school administration to address the issues of securing and managing federal grant monies. Besides commenting on the process, Mrs. Mulligan stressed the importance of data collection to not only obtain funds, but also to report on the use of funds. Grant management is part of Mrs. Mulligan-Pierre’s responsibilities at Link, along with general supervision and evaluation of the instructional staff and student assessment management and reporting. Link is proud that Mrs. Mulligan-Pierre was able to share her valuable expertise with the broader educational community.
