Link is delighted to announce that Andrew Lacey has been elected Chair of the Board of Trustees by his peers on the board. Andrew will join the ranks of pivotal leaders at the school who have each worked closely with the head of school to safeguard the mission and secure the school’s future, in keeping with the vision of the Sisters of St. Dominic, Caldwell, New Jersey.
Andrew Lacey joined the Board of Trustees of Link Community School in 2005 after being introduced to the school by a longtime friend and colleague at the Pingry School, where he taught in the early 1990’s. While on the board, Andrew has served as Chair of the Campaign to Secure the Future, Link’s current capital campaign; as chair of the Development Committee; and as a member of the Board Management Committee, the leadership team of the board.
After teaching for five years at Buckingham Browne & Nichols in Massachusetts and Pingry School in New Jersey, Andrew joined Lazard as a member of the Global Research Platform. He is currently Deputy Chairman of Lazard Asset Management, holding responsibility for oversight of the firm’s U.S. and global strategies. He is also a Portfolio Manager/Analyst on various U.S. and global equity portfolio teams. Andrew holds a MBA from Columbia University and a BA from the College of Social Studies, Wesleyan University. Andrew and his wife Wendy live in Montclair, New Jersey with their four children: Paige, Evelyn, Abigail and Derrick.
As Andrew takes on the board chair position, he draws from his teaching experience as well his business management and leadership expertise to support and guide Link Community School as it continues to deliver an excellent independent middle school program that arms students for success.
