ALUMNI “GIVE BACK” TO LINK

Do you stay in touch with your middle school? Not many people do, but Link alumni return to the school to teach, to mentor, to inspire, to volunteer, to speak to students and donors, and to donate. They are truly “giving back” to their community, a value Link tries to instill in all scholars.

  • Alecia Barnett ’06 serves on the Link Community Charter School Board of Trustees. Additionally, in the fall she spoke to donors and guests at A Taste of Newark, LEP’s annual fundraiser for the school, receiving a standing ovation after relating the impact Link had on her life. After Link, Alecia attended Science Park High School in Newark before moving on to Penn State where she earned a B.A. in Labor Studies and Employment Relations. She is currently employed by Axonius.
