Ms. Adenah Bayoh spoke to Upper House students during morning circle recently. She shared her personal story – that she and her family escaped civil war in Liberia when she was small and then went to live in refugee camps. Her family subsequently moved to Newark where she attended Weequahic High School. After graduating from Fairleigh Dickinson University, she now owns IHOP franchises in Irvington and Paterson, and oversees a $225 million real estate portfolio of urban redevelopment projects. Ms. Bayoh’s message to students was to persevere no matter the obstacles they may encounter and to strive to improve your community – beginning now and into future. Read more about Ms. Bayoh here.
