The entire Link community is deeply grateful for the continued support that our friends deliver through our premier annual benefit event, A Taste of Newark. We are delighted to announce that this year’s 15th Annual event, which was held on November 15th, exceeded our expected goal!
The restaurants, sponsors, providers of ads, and auction donors all share in a very tangible way in the mission of Link. Their generosity gives Newark youth an outstanding independent middle school option.
This year’s event was planned by a committed group of supporters who worked diligently on all aspects of the evening. A special thanks to chair Lois Larkey and the entire committee.
We also extend our sincere thanks to Steve Fisher and the team at New York Life for the creative design they bring to our event. They provided the graphic arts for the event and much of the printing.
Finally, our program for the evening inspired everyone in the room. Alumna Tiffany Walker spoke movingly about the impact Link had on her life and trustee, supporter, and the evening’s honoree Ronald Temple spoke passionately about his early schooling and passion for Link and education. And, the student performances –both the chorus, joined by several Link alumni, and the Link African dancer led by Jerome Hunter – were extraordinary!!!
